Subscription Model
Beegle charges a monthly subscription for each active client group. Following are the details of how the subscription is implemented.
For details on managing subscriptions, please refer to this guide.
Active vs Dormant Client Groups
Simply, an active client group is one which is currently incurring a subscription fee, whereas a dormant one is not.
A dormant client group will be restricted to a read only state, meaning users can view all the client group's records, but cannot amend any information for the client group. The only details that can be altered for a dormant group, are those associated with the client group record itself (Name, address, servicing office, etc).
An active client group allows users full access to view, amend and interact with the clients information and data.
Switch between Active and Dormant
A dormant client group can be activated at any time, resetting the commitment period as detailed below. This change is instantaneous.
An active client group can only be switched to dormant once they come to the end of their commitment period. Therefore, although the switch can be requested at any time, it will only come into effect at the end of the commitment period or the current month, whichever is last.
Commitment Period
When a subscription for a client group is activated, there is a 12 month commitment period, during which the subscription cannot be cancelled. This commitment period starts from the 1st of the next month, and lasts for 12 months from that point. This in effect means that the commitment period is a little more than 12 months (unless a subscription is started on the last day of a month), however you will not be invoiced for the initial partial month.
After the 12 month commitment period ends, the client group moves onto a month-by-month subscription which can be cancelled at any time, making the client group dormant. As noted above, a dormant client group can be reactivated at any time but this will start a new 12 month commitment period.
Timing of Fees
Beegle's subscription charges fees in advance on the 1st of every month. For this reason, any cancellation of a subscription will only switch a client group to a dormant state at the end of the month that the cancellation is requested.
Complimentary Client Groups
Beegle recognises the need to have sample clients which can be used to test Beegle features without impacting actual client data. For this reason you receive a discount equivalent to two client group subscriptions each month.
