Client Group Access
Beegle allows organisations to control which client groups each user has access to. This is to cater for conflicts of interest or privacy requirements, for example where a staff member is a client or different advisers serving a couple going through divorce.
Access to client groups can only be changed by users holding administration privileges
Administration Users
Note that any user with Administration Privileges will have access to all client groups, regardless whether they are approved to access a client group or not. There are several reasons for this:
- Administration users are typically part of management at the organisation and therefore needs access to the records and reporting across all client groups.
- It provides redundancy by having more than one user able to access a client group. e.g. if a single user has access to a client group and something happens to that user.
- Administration users have access to billing, which could give an insight into the client group in any case.
Managing Access
Outside of administration users, access to a client group is managed as follows.
Note that a client group must at all times have one adviser user attached and therefore the user nominated as servicing adviser will always have access.
- As an administration user, navigate to the client group record, per these instructions.
- Click 'Edit this client group'
- In the 'Access Restrictions' field, select the users who should have access to the client group. To remove any access restrictions unselect all users.
Note that selecting all users will result in any new users not having access tot he client group by default. This is because you have effectively nominated all users at a point in time to have access.
- Click 'Update Client group'
